looking ahead
Six months ago, I was in the midst of big-to-me plans for Wishmoon Studio, excited to get to tell you all about them. That was the beforetimes, obviously.
Like everyone, I've struggled in the months since then, new challenges added before I've absorbed the last ones, and like everyone, I've been trying to sort out what I should start letting go of and what I can -- and should -- hang onto with a little adaptation.
Which has included navigating next steps for Wishmoon Studio. Not only the end of those big-to-me plans, but even questions like how much to promote my art and business when there are so many other bigger concerns demanding our attention, whether and when to post new designs, or how to grow my audience during such an uncertain time. I've struggled, too, with creative inspiration for works that might resonate with people. Most of the art I've been doing has been for my own self-care and processing.
But as we all figure out how to get on with life in whatever ways are possible in our new normal, I've decided it's time for Wishmoon Studio to press ahead, too, even if it's on a more limited basis than I planned six months ago.
So! This week, I'll be announcing a new design I'm adding to the shop. And! In the next week or two, I'll be rolling out something I'm really excited to finally share with you. And hopefully, more good things to follow.
In the meantime, I appreciate all of you who find resonance in the things I make. You are my reminder about why I decided to put my creations out into the world instead of just hanging them on my wall or tucked in the pages of an art journal, and now more than ever, you make me glad I did.
